These communities, located in remote areas south of the Orinoco River in Venezuela, face enormous challenges accessing essential services such as healthcare and education.
Since its founding in 2000, the Maniapure Project Foundation has worked tirelessly to ensure that these vulnerable communities are not left behind. Through the innovative use of technology, we have managed to bring specialized medical care to places where it was previously unthinkable. Without our work, many of these people would not have access to specialist doctors or life-saving treatments, as these services are often only available in large cities.

Internships
Are you about to complete your medical degree and looking for a transformative experience for your Article 8 program, rural program, or internship? The Maniapure Project Foundation invites you to join a team committed to the health and well-being of Indigenous and rural communities in the southern Orinoco region of Venezuela.
Here you'll have the opportunity to practice medicine in a unique setting, a pioneer in telemedicine and primary care, where every day represents a learning opportunity and an invaluable contribution to those who need it most. Our location, La Milagrosa Outpatient Clinic, is a national reference center for medical internships, supported by partnerships with universities and high-level professionals.
You will have a professional and personal experience that will shape your career, developing clinical, intercultural, and leadership skills while helping to close healthcare gaps in remote areas. Many of our former interns consider Maniapure to be "the best opportunity to practice medicine in Venezuela."

Community camp
In partnership with Iguanas Camp, the Maniapure Project Foundation organizes the annual Multidisciplinary Community Camp in La Milagrosa, a project that seeks to empower young community leaders and strengthen cultural ties in the region. This camp focuses on outdoor education and recreational activities designed to develop leadership skills, teamwork, and cultural awareness among participants.
The camp's primary objective is to empower young people to become agents of positive change in their communities. Through workshops and hands-on activities, the camp fosters the development of essential skills such as effective communication, conflict resolution, and strategic planning. Additionally, it promotes activities that celebrate and preserve the rich cultural diversity of the Indigenous and Creole communities living in the region.
The Community Camp has proven to be a successful initiative, benefiting dozens of children and young people, as well as numerous families in the Maniapure region. By providing leadership skills and strengthening cultural ties, it contributes to the empowerment of local communities and promotes a more prosperous and sustainable future for the region.
The partnership with Iguanas Camp has been fundamental to the success of this project. Together, we work to ensure that the camp is an enriching and transformative experience for all participants. We invite the community to join us in this effort by supporting and participating in camp activities to further strengthen the positive impact on the region.
