Productive development
The general objective of this assignment
consists in improving the social and economic conditions of the
rural and indigenous families or the area through training and creation,
optimization and diversification of productive units, in order to
increase family income.
SUSTAINABLE FAMILY FARMS PROJECT
The concept of Sustainable Family Farms is the result of a scientist-technological
project developed by the Foundation for the Development of the Physical,
Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FUDECI) in the state of Amazonas.
FUDECI is an institution that was created for the Academy of Physical,
Mathematics and Natural Sciences and that has cooperated with the
Maniapure Project in order to reproduce their experiences in this
region.
The Sustainable Family Farms have been designed for small properties
of one to forty hectares (half an acre to twenty acres), providing
families with crop and breeding of animals to satisfy their consumption,
and to produce a surplus that allow them to take their products
to the market.
The Sustainable Family Farms consist of several units of agricultural
production with a low environmental impact. They mostly grow vegetables
and also allow the families to keep growing their traditional crops,
such as plantans, tapioca, corn and black beans. In addition to
the crops, these farms breed animals like "acure" (a large rodent)
and duck, which are animals of easy handling and reproduction in
the area.
With the goal of promoting and training people interested in these
farms, a model of Sustainable Family Farm has been developed at
the "La Milagrosa" Center. In these farms "acures" and ducks are
bred. Pastures for these animals are also cultivated.

PROJECT OF PRODUCTION OF BLOCKS AND
ADOBES
With this project, the Center supports the construction and improvement
of the housing in the area, by producting and selling blocks and
adobes for construction. Also, this project create jobs for the
people of the community.
Now, the Center has a production capacity of 500 blocks-adobes per
day, and is managed by two local workers.
PROJECT OF BAKERY
Project with a double purpose: offer a training program for the
manufacturing of bread for family consumption and generate revenues
from the sales of bread for the operation of the "La Milagrosa"
Center.
