In 2000, through La Fundación Tamayo, the people of Maniapure incorporated a RURAL BANK, an initiative lead by La Milagrosa Francia, an organization that was present in the region for 10 years.

A population census and an assessment of needs was carried out by the company Kaleidoscopio to identify more effective ways to contribute to the development of the region's interests.

The RURAL BANK currently operates with a large number of members and has funded entrepreneurial initiatives of its members.
