The Maniapure Region in Venezuela is the area of influence of the healthcare and social welfare provided by Centro La Milagrosa. The region is bounded to the northwest by the Orinoco River; to the northeast, La Encaramada Mountain Range area separates our area of influence from Caicara Del Orinoco; to the west, it is bounded by La Urbana Mountain Range and the east coast of the Suapure River, and to the southeast, by La Cerbatana Mountain Range. The axis of our area of influence is the road from Caicara Del Orinoco to Los Pijiguaos. The Maniapure Region has an approximate area of 1,500 square kilometers with a very low population density.
Population is distributed among 40 hamlets (or small communities) throughout the Region, seven of which are populated by Panare indigenous group and 33, by criollos. Seventy percent (70%) of the population is under age 21.
