Fundación Proyecto Maniapure organizes four major events on a yearly basis, two of which allow raising of funds required to keep the organization running.
One of the fundraising events to cover our operating expenses is a Golf Tournament held at the beginning of the year at the Caracas Country Club, when the golf members club kindly offer support to the initiatives of Fundación Proyecto Maniapure.
The other fundraising event to cover expenses connected to the special medical care missions that Fundación Proyecto Maniapure brings on a yearly basis to Centro La Milagrosa is held at El Jaleo Restaurant located at El Hatillo. On this special evening the owners of the restaurant kindly cook for those willing to support us.
Once a year a Festival Llanero takes place at Centro La Milagrosa with the object of preserving our national identitythrough music and promoting local folklore. On this special day, people from the various communities within the Region are brought together; school children and adults perform native singing and dancing routines and play football matches.
Another major event is the special medical care mission that sends a volunteer healthcare team of over 50 specialty physicians to Centro La Milagrosa to check about 450 patients in a single day, whose cases have been sent through telemedicine in advance by the rural physician to the specialty physicians who will volunteer on this special mission.
In the month of November the Festival Cultural de Maniapure is celebrated. People of all ages from the area as well as special guests from other regions of the country come together to participate local cultural performance contests intended to reinforce regional and national culture.
